Returns for Online Purchases

 

Eligibility for Change-of-Mind Returns

  1. Items must be returned within 10 days of the delivery date.

  2. Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging with all tags attached.

  3. Certain items are non-returnable, including but not limited to:

    • Custom orders

    • Personalized items

    • Gift vouchers

    • Sale items

    • Items purchased as Seconds

Return Process

  1. Contact our Customer Support team at sales@thechristmashut.co.nz

  2. Provide your order number and reason for the return.

  3. Pack the items securely and include a copy of the invoice and any Loyalty Cards inside the package.

  4. Ship the package to the return address provided using a trackable shipping method.

Refunds

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item(s). We will not be responsible for damage to any items in transit to our address. 

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defective or incorrect item.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are subject to product availability.

  • Follow the same process as returns to initiate an exchange.

  • If the requested exchange item is unavailable, you will be issued a refund.

Defective or Incorrect Items

  • If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery for assistance with photos of the defect.

  • We will cover return shipping costs and provide a replacement or refund.

International Returns

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any associated customs fees for international returns.

  • Refunds for international returns may take additional processing time.

Additional Notes

  • We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet our policy requirements.

 

 

 

We now have Afterpay!

 

We're please to offer afterpay as one of our payment options, where you can buy now and pay later!  When shopping online, log in to your account when prompted at check-out.  We also offer Afterpay in-store! 

 

Laybys

 

We offer Layby on our full priced items and on our higher value Specials.  Feel free to contact us if you are not sure whether the item you desire can be placed on Layby.

When checking out, please write 'Layby' in the section 'Your order reference' which can be found under the Billing details section.  Check-out using the 'Bank Transfer' option, and you will receive an email with our bank details. Simple as!  

All that's left is for you to send a 20% deposit and regular payments after that!  Please use your name and invoice number as a reference when making payments.  Layby terms are for a maximum of 12 weeks.

Shipping

Our shipping rates within New Zealand are aweaome!  Please choose the correct postage for your area when checking out and wait for your delivery!

Sorry we do not ship to PO Boxes.

We ship twice a week  and will email you your tracking number when your parcel is ready to go.

As much as possible, we recycle packaging.

 

Click & Collect

 

If you have asked to pick your purchase up from our shop, you will receive an email from us indicating that it is ready.  Please read your email carefully - some larger items might need to be picked up from our showroom at 149 Roydvale Ave in Burnside.

 

Paying by Credit Card

 

Your card will be charged once we assure ourselves we have all your items, and not immediately at check out.  In case there is something that we no longer have, we will contact you by email or phone and offer an alternative.

 

Paying with Gift Vouchers

 

Yes, you can pay online with your Christmas Hut Gift Voucher! When checking out, please write your gift voucher amount and number in the section 'Your order reference' which can be found under the Billing details section.  The amount will not be taken off the bill you see on screen, but we will process it correctly.  Please be patient with us while we make our website work better for you!

 

Loyalty Cards

 

We still offer our loyalty stamps to our online customers!  With every $50 spent on full priced items, you get a stamp on your card. Once you have collected 8 stamps, you can get $30 off your next purchase!  Part-stamped cards can be accumulated and our loyalty cards never expire!  

If you would like to redeem your full card, you can either do this in our shop, or if you are an online customer, you can just drop us a note in the section 'Your order reference' which can be found under the Billing details section and send us a picture of your cards with today's date and crossed out in Sharpie. 

Remember - stamps cannot be gained or redeemed on Specials, seconds or on freight costs.
